The Leading Group on Innovative Financing for Development is organizing a side event on innovative financing and climate change during the Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, under Chilean chairmanship.
It will be held at the French Embassy on the morning of December 14th and chaired by Chile.
Statements will focus on the different aspects of innovative financing and climate change. The side event will therefore provide the opportunity to concentrate on a key aspect of innovative financing.
The NatureRights Foundation will focus on the issue of Voluntary Solidarity Levies for the environment and development. Germany will describe its experience in using revenue from carbon credit auctions for development and the European Commission will assess Commission activities in that area.
